University of Edinburgh Prize-giving Reading
I’ll be reading a poem tomorrow for the University of Edinburgh prize-giving reading. This year, I very fortunately won the Grierson Verse Prize, for a poem on the theme of ‘Deception’ written in any recognised verse form (not free verse). I wrote a sestina titled ‘Mimicry’ which I will be reading at:

I also won a ‘Highly Commended’ for my poem ‘Shan Gran’ which I submitted for the Sloan Prize for a poem written in Lowland Scots vernacular, but I don’t think I have the guts (or accent) to read that one just yet!
